User Journeys
An overview of the typical experience for each role on the platform.
User Journeys on the RYD Vision Platform
This document outlines the typical journey and key interactions for each of the three core user roles on the platform.
The Mentor's Journey: Architect of Transformation
The Mentor's journey is about building, overseeing, and refining the entire coaching ecosystem.
1. Onboarding & Setup: The Mentor logs in and familiarizes themselves with the Mentor Dashboard, which provides a high-level overview of all platform activity.
2. Curriculum Architecture*: The Mentor navigates to the *Curriculum Management section. Here, they define the core building blocks:
* They create Themes (e.g., "Leadership Depth").
* They build Tools, which are the interactive forms coachees will fill out.
They create Modules** and add *Lessons to them. Within each lesson, they write content and attach the relevant Tools.
Finally, they use the Course Builder** to assemble modules into a complete, ordered *Course.
3. User Management*: The Mentor goes to the *Users page to manage accounts. They can add new coaches and assign coachees to them.
4. Platform Oversight: On an ongoing basis, the Mentor uses their dashboard to monitor the progress of all coaches and coachees, identify popular or underused content, and ensure the overall health of the coaching ecosystem.
The Coach's Journey: Guide and Facilitator
The Coach's journey is focused on personalizing learning paths and guiding their assigned coachees toward their goals.
1. Onboarding*: The Coach logs in to their *Coach Dashboard, which highlights priority items like coachee submissions that need review.
2. Coachee Management*: The Coach navigates to the *My Coachees page to see their roster. From here, they can dive into an individual coachee's detail page.
3. Personalized Guidance: In the coachee detail view, the Coach has several tools:
* Assign Courses: They assign a pre-built course from the library created by the Mentor.
Review Submissions**: They view a coachee's completed lesson and use the *AI Submission Analysis tool to gain quick insights into the coachee's written work.
* Add Notes: They leave private notes to track observations and progress.
* Manage Universe: They can assign supportive curriculum to members of the coachee's support network (manager, family).
4. Communication*: The Coach uses the *Messages tab to communicate directly with their coachees, providing support and encouragement.
5. Track Progress: The Coach regularly reviews the coachee's timeline and progress metrics to provide timely feedback and interventions.
The Coachee's Journey: The Path of Transformation
The Coachee's journey is an immersive, structured path through the curriculum, supported by their coach.
1. Onboarding*: The Coachee logs in and lands on their *My Journey page. This is their central hub, showing the course assigned to them by their coach.
2. Engage with Curriculum: The Coachee works through the course sequentially.
* They click on the current Module to see its list of lessons.
* They click on the next available Lesson.
* They read the lesson content and fill out the interactive Tool associated with it, reflecting on the concepts.
3. Complete & Progress: After submitting their tool responses, they mark the lesson as "Complete." This saves their submission for their coach to review and automatically unlocks the next lesson in the sequence.
4. Goal Setting & Journaling*: The Coachee can use the *Journal tool for self-reflection, even generating AI-powered prompts to help them get started.
5. Communicate with Coach*: The Coachee uses the *Messages feature to ask questions, share wins, and seek guidance from their coach.
6. Engage the Universe: The Coachee can invite members to their "Universe," their personal support network, who may also be assigned supportive curriculum by the coach.
